Steve and Kirsten, the owners of Appel design and construction have a keen eye and skill for any remodeling/design needs you may have. They remodeled my entire home in Bend. When I first was looking into having a total over hall of my home I had no idea where to start. Kirsten and Steve came over for a consultation and I immediately felt at ease. Considering I don’t live locally I was in need of a team I could really trust. They were very communicative, budget conscious and finished the project on time. Their attention to detail is remarkable and I am amazed on how they could see the big picture before I could. Appel Design and Construction did an amazing job on our Sunriver remodel. Our house was dark and dated and we wanted to fix that but did not know where to start until we talked with Steve and Kirsten. What an amazing team they are. Steve and Kirsten met with us several times to get an idea of what we were trying to achieve. After that, Kirsten put together a beautiful design package that met our goals. Steve was on top of everything right from the beginning making sure all of our windows, flooring, appliances etc were ordered. Before they started the demo, all of our products were either in the garage or in storage. I was so impressed with Steve and Kirsten’s team. Everyone was professional, friendly and easy to work with. The best part, was that Steve or Kirsten were on the job site almost every day. I had complete confidence and trust in them and their team. As an example, when they took down walls in our kitchen and bathrooms, we found that the last contractor had done a lot of poor work like leaving open wire, holes in the floor etc. Steve pointed these out and had them all fixed the way it should have been done. They are both perfectionists and no matter what came up, they were always positive and figured out the most cost efficient way to fix it. Anytime I would start to worry they would just say, we got this, and they did! Steve also kept the job site clean and organized. When they finished, they left us a beautiful home that is now full of light and upgrades. We could not be happier. ~ Michael V
